Magister Program

Environmental Engineering Master Program (PS-S2-TL) Faculty of Engineering Hasanuddin University was established to be able to provide great benefits to institutions, society, and the nation, especially for resource management and increased competitiveness. For this reason, the curriculum of the magister program is compiled to support and strengthen the vision, mission, and objectives of the Environmental Engineering Department, Engineering Faculty, and Hasanuddin University level.

Based on the vision of the University, Postgraduate Program, Faculty of Engineering, and Department of Environmental Engineering, the magister program set vision as follows:
“To become a leading institution in the development of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the field of international innovative environmental engineering “.

To actualize the vision above, a clear and realistic mission of the program is defined as

  • Organizing superior and innovative education, research, and service in the field of environmental engineering to support people’s lives.
  • Preparing graduates who are reliable, characterized, and professional in solving environmental problems to support sustainable development.
  • Establishing strategic cooperation on an ongoing basis with the government, educational institutions, and the industrial world at the local, regional, and international levels towards leading and international standard institutions.

Along with the vision and mission, the objectives of the PS-S2-TL are constructed to create graduates:

  • Having a career and manage jobs in the field of environmental engineering or other fields that have a leadership spirit armed with sustainable development insights.
  • Developing knowledge and skills to observe, identify, and understand environmental problems through further education.
  • Contributing to society by designing engineering structures in the field of environmental engineering to solve environmental problems in the local and global scope.

To achieve the goal of the vision and mission of the program, several targets have been set, that is:

  • Improving the quality of the teaching and learning process
  • Conducting curriculum studies related to the development of science and technology
  • Updating lecture materials and course syllabus.
  • Developing learning methods to support student learning motivation
  • Increasing graduate competencies that are defined in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and expertise.
  • Expanding the ability of the academic community in education, research, and community service
  • Developing science in solving environmental problems
